Conference for the Arkum “Rewonder” collection. Hotel Pera Palace Istanbul

Consultancy for the Turkish company Arkum Textile in researching trends and creating knitwear collections. The objective is to satisfy the demands of the knitwear market, giving priority to research, innovation and circularity. Through dedicated consultancy work, we ensure that every aspect of the collection is in line with emerging trends and the company's vision. For the "Rewonder" collection, the team met with brands and partners for the presentation of the Autumn Winter 2023-24 collection at the Hotel Pera Palace in Istanbul. During the event, Lucia Rosin illustrated moodboards and concepts together with General Director Osman Arikan.

Meidea collaborates with Arkum to develop new collections. The consulting service includes: trend analysis, research on innovative fibers and materials, color palette, concept, and storytelling to innovate circular knitwear production.

Consultancy for Calik Denim

Consulting service for the Calik Denim company for the development of new performing fabrics and more sustainable materials. During the 10 years of collaboration, the Meidea team has worked together with the company's technicians and the research and development team for the use of innovative technologies for stretch and rigid denim, searching year after year for new solutions for the use of yarns biodegradable, alternative fibers to cotton, sustainable fibers linked to regenerative agriculture.

Indigo Knitwear: Infiknity for Arvind

Together with the Arvind Team, the concept of indigo knitwear INFIKNITY was created. Born from a growing post-pandemic demand, the project meets technology to pursue a concept of total well-being and comfort. The collaboration includes: trend study, naming, logo and motto, wash consulting, accessory and outfit design for the presentation at the King Pins Amsterdam fair in April 2019.

Bossa: consultancy for organic and recycled denim collections

During our longstanding collaboration, which began in 2004, we developed product and marketing concepts, product graphics and stand designs related to organic and recycled denim. These projects include: Re.Set, which uses recycled and organic denim; Blue Garden, which employs organic denim and vegetable dyes; BlueRefuge and BlueFitness, which leverage cutting-edge laser technology. Trends and projects have been created to elevate denim to a sustainable lifestyle concept, where ecology is not just a thought but a way of life.

Knitwear: collections developed for Jeanologia

Our collaboration with Jeanologia in Knitwear design: Ecological Knits, Woman Knits, Intelligence Knits, Jeans Knits. Use of sustainable technology of laser marking, ozone and CDA, is applied to the design of recycled natural knitwear, jersey, wool, cupro.

Sustainable fabrics and yarns: Olimpias Piobesi research and innovation project

Collection of sustainable fabrics and yarns curated by Meidea for Olimpias. Creation of story concepts, visual graphic design, promotional merchandise. Garment design with sustainable fibers such as Crabyon, Organic Cotton, Recycled Cotton, Milkofil and SeaCell.

10 years of consultancy in textile innovation for Calik Denim

Every season starting from 2013, the Meidea Team has analyzed the fashion shows, the latest fashion and social trends to translate them into the key concepts of the future textile collections of the Turkish company, always with an attitude towards research and innovation for sustainability, such as technologies of performance for stretch denim, biodegradable yarns, alternatives to cotton, sustainable fibers linked to regenerative agriculture.

Mentorship for the company Bossa in the denim world

The goal was to elevate the denim product to a concept of sustainable lifestyle, where ecology is not just a thought but a way of life. During the longstanding collaboration, which began in 2004, we have increased the internal team's product knowledge and sensitivity by sharing our research methods and creating new connections with external suppliers.

Consultancy for Jeanologia in laser technology

Collaboration and mentorship for the Jeanologia company for research and development of creative and innovative solutions in the use of laser technology on denim, jersey, wool and cotton fabrics. First laser experiments in 2005 on fabric to save water in the production of a garment, vintage effect treatments to replace less ecological finishes and washes, experimentation on alternative fabrics to cotton and natural dyes.

Infiknity: Development of the indigo knitwear concept for Arvind Ltd

Consultancy for Arvind Ltd in the creation of the Infiknity concept which evolves knitwear from the basic version to version 2.0, in an indigo technological aesthetic of the near future. The services offered: search for the name and design of the brand, keywords and their use in communication, brand guideline and coordinated graphics, artistic direction in the pre-production phase.

WoolUp: Meidea's collaboration with Jeanologia in wool washing

WoolUp: sustainable technology applied to water-free and chlorine-free wool garments. The Meidea Team developed the concept, the name, the logo, the photographic service, the tags and the brochure which represents the pioneering Jeanologia service.

Interior design, photography and restyling of the Jeanologia Italia headquarters

Interior design project for the Jeanologia Italian headquarters, SmartBox Production Center in Vicenza. Study of the interior spaces and enhancement of the exterior, creation of 3D renderings, research into furniture and finishes, artistic photographic service of the machinery for printing paintings and on-site setup.

MEIDEA TEAM X BLU’N ME X FUTURE FITS FORUM

From the iconic Levi's 501 to the denim of the future: Meidea and BLU'N ME for Future Fits Forum. A challenge to combine existing stocks of the Iconic 501 with a new technological fabric responsible for creating a totally new version of the future. The result of our project was presented at The Kingpins Show in Amsterdam on 24 and 25 April 2024.

Lucia Rosin addressed the importance of developing design consultancy, idealizing three different clients: a fabric factory, an international fashion fair and a brand.

Sustainable denim: lesson at the IUAV University of Venice

Design for sustainable denim: this was the underlying theme of the lesson held at the Iuav Fashion Design in Venice by Lucia Rosin. Through a series of concrete examples and the story of the Meidea team's working method, the steps necessary for the creation of a responsible collection were addressed.

On July 17, 2023, Lucia Rosin gave the lecture at the University to discuss the concept of circular design. The distinctions between upcycling and recycling were explored and global data on production and waste in the fashion industry revealed. Furthermore, strategies to stimulate a creative approach to recycling were explored, offering unique diagnostic insights and showcasing examples of brand excellence in this field.

Zéeero 2023 at Meidea: Training, networks and workshops dedicated to circular fashion

On 21 and 22 April 2023 Meidea hosted Rén Collective and Zéeero, the summit on responsible fashion which in this 2023 edition focuses on "Circular fashion. Essentiality as a reform value". Two days dedicated to information and training on the latest European Union regulations regarding circular fashion to provide ad hoc support to professionals and brands in the sector.

Seminar at Denimsandjeans Tokyo 2024: Design for Circularity-The Upcycling solution

During the conference Lucia Rosin spoke about Circular Design with concrete examples of how it can be applied in the production of Denim: The textile and fashion industry has a huge environmental impact and creates waste during the production of clothing, ranging from 25 to 40% of total fabric use. The conference highlights the importance of addressing this problem and introduces upcycling as a sustainable solution. An upcycled product, characterized by creative recycling, not only saves resources, but also reduces the risk of textile waste ending up in landfill, offering a path to design unique, value-added products.

Seminar for The Circle Book 2 at Bluezone Monaco

Considering collaboration and circularity as accelerators of the potential of sustainability, the collection of the second chapter of "The Circle Book" was presented in Munich at Bluezone CULTURE.IN, together with the partner companies of this circular project. By combining sustainable technologies and knowledge, a collection was created in order to reduce waste production and create clothes that can be traced from fiber to finish.

Live from the 6th edition of "Denimsandjeans.com Bangladesh - Vintage Recall". Lucia Rosin, head designer of Meidea, presented the video documentary created in Atelier entitled "Sustainable Design: 5 Fundamental Ways to Create A Sustainable Collection". The seminar highlighted all the production aspects that serve to make a denim collection more sustainable, from the design basis to accessories and packaging, presenting concrete examples created by the Meidea Team for its customers.

TEDxCastelfrancoVeneto: Talk on circular design for the Countdown 2023 event

The Countdown event gave a voice to professionals from different sectors to talk about climate change to move from ideas to concrete actions. Meidea shared the Team's experience in Upcycling and in particular of BLU'N ME, its own clothing and accessories brand that prefers materials that come from industrial left-overs and/or samples, to re-evaluate quality fabrics and reduce waste. environmental impact associated with overproduction and discarded clothing.
